Scholarships and Contests

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution offers several scholarships for graduating high school seniors, college, and graduate students in varied areas of study. Applicants are not required to be members of the NSDAR.

STATE CONTESTS AND AWARDS

To encourage the promotion of historic preservation, education, and patriotism, the DAR established a variety of contests and awards. These awards are presented to recognize and encourage the efforts of deserving individuals who have unselfishly contributed their time and talents in service to their local communities. Award recipients demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, service, patriotism, or dedication to educational pursuits.

Our chapters can best serve the local community with award entries. Most contests and awards advance to the state level. Many state-level contests and awards advance to the national level.
